At Axmo we like modelling, and we think more people should get to. We believe good models make life clearer and better — so we set out to build a tool that makes modelling easier and more accessible.
Serious modelling shouldn't require a big budget, a six-month rollout, or a consultant. Axmo exists to put real models — plans, forecasts, budgets, scenarios, and the analysis underneath them — inside the spreadsheet you already use, in a file you own. The depth, without the price of admission.
Who's behind Axmo
Axmo is developed by Miller Innovations srl, an independent software company registered in Verona, Italy and working wherever its people are.
Behind it are decades of finance and modelling experience, and Axmo is what that distilled into — the ideas and features that earned their place over those years, brought together in one tool rather than invented from scratch. It shapes how we work, too: carefully, in the open, and close to the people who use the product. And it shapes our promises — we'd rather ship a genuinely free tool we can stand behind than a bloated one we can't. Miller Innovations srl exists to develop Axmo and keep it independent, and the model format will be published precisely so the product can outlast us.

Your model belongs to you.
The file is the model; the model is the file. It lives in your workbook — emailable, versionable, openable in five years on a laptop that has never heard of us. Not ours to hold, not ours to change on you, not ours to lose when a vendor's pricing doubles.

Free should mean free.
A free tier that quietly removes the features people actually need isn't free — it's a sales funnel. Ours isn't. Core modelling is free at every tier and stays that way. The paid tiers add what needs our infrastructure — hosted collaboration, sync, managed AI — and, as they arrive, some of the deeper modelling capabilities too. You never pay to read numbers someone else has published; publishing them needs Team or above. What is free is a real tool, not a sample.

Excel isn't the problem.
Excel without a modelling layer is. We add the layer; we don't try to replace the spreadsheet, and we reuse Excel's own data connectors rather than duplicating them.

The format will be open.
The Axmo model format is a documented container — a zip holding a YAML model file and a version marker, with no encryption and no proprietary extensions — and we will publish the specification so other tools can read it. Older versions stay readable permanently. The Excel add-in is the reference implementation, not a walled garden.

Axmo is a real tool you can use today — and where it goes next is shaped by the people who use it. If something's missing, awkward, or almost-but-not-quite right, tell us. We read everything, and "you asked, we shipped" is how the product gets better.
