1. Who we are
Axmo Data Modelling is made by Miller Innovations srl, an Italian limited company and the data controller for the processing described here.

2. What this policy covers
This policy covers two things: the website at axmo.it, and the Axmo Data Modelling add-in for Microsoft Excel.
They are described separately below, because they behave very differently.
3. The short version
No part of your model reaches us — no formula and no cell value. Axmo Data Modelling stores your model inside your own Excel workbook, on your own machine. There is no account, no sign-in, and no copy of your work on our servers. We cannot see your models, and we could not retrieve them if you asked us to.
What we do collect is limited to four things: anonymous, aggregate visitor statistics for the website; technical fault reports from the add-in, which are described in detail in §5.3 and contain no part of your model; if you buy something from us, the information needed to take the payment; and, if you write to us, your message and email address so that we can reply.
4. The website (axmo.it)
4.1 Hosting
The website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. To serve any page, Cloudflare necessarily processes your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser's user-agent string, and similar technical request data. It uses this to deliver the site and to protect it against attacks.
We do not keep server request logs. Retaining them requires a paid Cloudflare feature that we have not enabled, so no request log is stored for us or accessible to us. Cloudflare's own handling of that data is governed by its privacy documentation and by our data processing agreement with it.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.
4.2 Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read.
It is cookieless. It does not store anything on your device, does not track you between visits, does not follow you across other websites, and does not use fingerprinting. What we see is aggregate: page views, approximate country, referring site, browser and device type. We cannot identify you from it, and we cannot follow an individual through the site.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site is useful.
- Retention: these statistics are aggregate only. They are held by Cloudflare for a limited rolling window and we keep no separate copy. Nothing in them identifies an individual visitor, so there is nothing here to retain about you.
4.3 Cookies
The website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Fonts are served from our own site rather than a third-party font service. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security and traffic management.

5. The add-in (Axmo Data Modelling)
5.1 What stays on your machine
Your model is stored inside your Excel workbook file. So is any data you enter, any formula you write, and any calculated result. None of it is transmitted anywhere. There is no account and no sign-in.
The add-in stores nothing else on your device — no cookies, no browser storage, and no settings held in your Office account.
5.2 What the add-in loads
To function, the add-in loads its own program files from
addin-modeling.axmo.it, which we operate through Cloudflare, and the
Office.js library from Microsoft's content delivery network, as every
Office add-in must. Both requests disclose your IP address to the respective provider, in
the same way that visiting any website does.
If you choose to open a demo model, its file is loaded from our own host. This happens only when you ask for it.
Two buttons on the Axmo ribbon reach outside the add-in when you click them, and only
then. Learning Materials opens axmo.it/learn in your own
browser, where the website section of this policy applies. Help to Improve
opens a pre-filled draft message in your own email program; nothing is sent to us unless
you send it yourself, and you can read and edit it first.
5.3 Fault reports
When something goes wrong inside the add-in, it sends us a technical fault report so that we can find and fix the problem. These reports are handled by Sentry, in its European Union region. Our data stays in the European Union, and this is enforced in the add-in's own code rather than only by configuration: the add-in refuses a non-European ingest endpoint, which silently disables reporting rather than routing it somewhere else.
A report is sent only when an error occurs, and only in two situations: an unhandled JavaScript error or unhandled promise rejection in any of the add-in's pages, or a crash in the task pane's user interface, caught by the panel's error boundary. Nothing is sent on a schedule, when the add-in loads, when you click something, or when an operation succeeds. There is no background activity, no session tracking and no usage tracking.
Every report is built from the following fields, and no other content from the error is copied:

What is deliberately not in it:
- No error message text — the single most important omission, because a message can contain a formula or the contents of a spreadsheet cell;
- no formula text, and no cell values;
- no worksheet, range, table, dimension, series or model names;
- no console output, and no screen recording;
- no user identity requested by us;
- no locale or timezone;
- no page URL, user-agent or request headers;
- no local variable values or source excerpts;
- no performance or session data.
Two things we should state plainly rather than gloss over:
- Your IP address is unavoidably visible to Sentry. We do not ask Sentry
to record it (
sendDefaultPii: false), but any request made over HTTPS reveals the sender's address to the server receiving it. What the recipient does with the connecting address is the recipient's own configuration. - A bundle file name and line number are transmitted. These identify Axmo's own compiled code — not your file, and not its contents.
We have configured this narrowly and on purpose: no session recording, no performance measurement, and no usage tracking at all. We do not know how many models you build, which features you use, or how often you open Axmo.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security, stability and correct functioning of software that people rely on.
6. If you buy something from us
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay, you do so on a page hosted by Stripe. We never see or hold your card number.
Stripe passes us what we need to complete and account for the sale: your name, email address, country, the amount, and any tax identifier you supply. We keep this because Italian law requires us to keep records of sales.
- Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligation to retain accounting records.
- Retention: ten years. This is the period Italian law requires for accounting records (Civil Code, article 2220).
6.1 The Founders page
If you ask to be listed on the founders page. When you become a Founding
Supporter, the checkout asks whether you would like your name shown on our public founders
page, and what name to use. Saying yes is optional and your purchase does not depend on
it — the page carries only the names of people who asked to appear on it. The legal basis
is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing start@axmo.it;
we remove the name when the page is next updated, and withdrawing changes nothing about
your Founding Supporter tier or anything else you are entitled to. If you say no, or leave
the field empty, the name you gave is kept with the rest of your purchase record under §6
and is never published.
7. Support correspondence
If you email start@axmo.it, we hold your message and your email address in
order to answer you. Our mailbox is hosted by Microsoft.

8. Who processes data on our behalf

Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
Microsoft also distributes the add-in through AppSource. What Microsoft collects from you there is decided by Microsoft and governed by its own privacy statement, not by this policy and not by us.
8.1 Transfers outside the EU
Fault reports from the add-in are stored by Sentry in the European Union.
Cloudflare, Microsoft and Stripe are US-headquartered companies and may process personal data outside the European Union. Where they do, the transfer takes place under the mechanisms set out in our data processing agreement with each of them: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and, where the provider is certified under it, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
9. How long we keep things
- Fault reports: 30 days. Sentry deletes them automatically after that; we do not keep a separate copy.
- Visitor statistics: as in §4.2.
- Purchase records: as in §6.
- Support emails: as long as needed to resolve the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Founders page entries: until you ask us to remove yours.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

In practice we hold very little that identifies you. If you have only used the add-in and never contacted or paid us, we are unlikely to hold anything that could be linked to you at all.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Italy this is the
Garante per la protezione dei dati personali
(garanteprivacy.it).
11. Children
Axmo Data Modelling is a professional tool and is not directed at children.
12. Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this policy and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
