Cookie Policy
1. The short version
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracker on this website.
We do measure how many people visit, but with a technology that stores nothing on your device at all. The only cookies you may encounter here are the technical ones our hosting provider uses to deliver and protect the site.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between requests. Related technologies — local storage, session storage — do a similar job. Consent rules generally apply to all of them, not only to cookies in the strict sense.
3. Cookies we set
None. We set no cookies of our own on axmo.it.
We also serve our fonts from our own site rather than from a third-party font service, so no font provider learns that you visited.
4. Cookies our hosting provider may set
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which acts as our hosting and security provider. Cloudflare may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic and to manage load.
These exist to make the site work and to protect it. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not shared with advertisers.
Observed on this site:
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that your browser has passed a security check, so that you are not asked to repeat it as you move around the site | Up to 12 months |
Cloudflare sets this only when it needs to establish that a request comes from a real browser rather than from automated traffic, so you may never receive one at all.
5. How we measure visits without cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without storing anything on your device: no cookies, no local storage, no identifier of any kind. It does not follow you between visits, does not follow you to other sites, and does not use fingerprinting techniques to recognise your device.
What it gives us is aggregate: how many pages were viewed, roughly which country visitors came from, which site referred them, and what kind of browser and device they used. We cannot identify you from it, and we cannot trace one person's path through the site.
Further detail is in our Privacy Policy.
6. Why there is no consent banner
Consent rules for cookies and similar technologies are triggered by storing information on, or reading information from, your device. They apply regardless of whether that information identifies you.
On this site:
- we store nothing of our own;
- our visitor measurement stores nothing;
- the only storage is our hosting provider's strictly necessary cookies, which are the category that consent rules exempt.
There is therefore nothing to ask your consent for, and a banner would be a box to click with no purpose behind it.
7. What would change this
We would have to revisit both this policy and the absence of a banner if any of the following happened:
- adding any analytics or measurement product that stores anything on your device — including a switch from Cloudflare Web Analytics to a different tool;
- embedding third-party content: video players, maps, social media widgets, comment systems, chat widgets;
- loading fonts, stylesheets or scripts from a third-party network rather than our own;
- adding advertising or conversion tracking of any kind;
- embedding a payment form directly in our own pages rather than sending you to the payment provider's site.
This list is the control, not a courtesy. Each item is a change that would silently make this page wrong.
8. Payments
If you buy something from us, the payment is taken on a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies on its own domain, for fraud prevention and to make the payment work. That is governed by Stripe's cookie and privacy policies, not by this one.
We deliberately use Stripe's own hosted checkout rather than embedding a payment form in our pages, precisely so that this stays true.
9. The Excel add-in
The Axmo Data Modelling add-in sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — no cookies, no browser storage, and no settings saved to your Office account. Your model is stored inside your own Excel workbook, by you, when you save the file.
10. Controlling cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings. If our hosting provider sets a strictly necessary cookie (see §4), blocking it may cause parts of the site to stop working.
