1. Who we are

These terms are an agreement between you and us. By installing or using Axmo Data Modelling, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not install it.
2. What Axmo Data Modelling is
Axmo Data Modelling is an add-in for Microsoft Excel that adds a multidimensional modelling layer to the spreadsheet you already use. It runs inside Excel on your own device.
It is free. There is no charge, no account, no sign-in and no trial period.
3. Your licence
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use Axmo Data Modelling, including for commercial and professional work, for as long as these terms are in force.
You may use it to build models for yourself, for your employer, or for your clients, and you may share the resulting workbooks freely. Anything you build with it is yours.
You may not: attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source code except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction; remove or obscure any notice identifying us as the author; redistribute or resell Axmo Data Modelling itself as though it were yours; or use it to break the law.
4. Your models and your data belong to you
We claim no rights whatsoever in anything you create.
Your model is stored inside your own Excel workbook, on your own device. We do not host it, we do not receive it, and we cannot access it. We could not produce a copy of your work if you asked us to, because we do not have one.
The corollary matters as much: the safety of your work is in your hands. Your models live in your files, and you are responsible for backing them up, as you would be with any other spreadsheet.
5. What you need in order to use it
Axmo Data Modelling runs inside Microsoft Excel and depends on Microsoft's platform to function. You need a compatible version of Excel and a licence from Microsoft to use it. Your use of Excel is governed by your agreement with Microsoft, not by us, and we have no control over it.
If Microsoft changes or withdraws the capabilities that Axmo Data Modelling relies on, some or all of it may stop working. We will do what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee against it.
6. Availability, changes and discontinuation
Axmo Data Modelling is provided free of charge and without any service-level commitment. We do not promise that it will be available at any particular time, or that it will be free of faults.
We may change, add or remove features, and we may stop distributing or supporting it entirely. If we do, the copy already installed on your machine keeps working for as long as it works, and — because your model is stored inside your own workbook — your files remain readable by you regardless of what happens to us.
7. No warranty
Axmo Data Modelling is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that it will meet your requirements, that it will operate without interruption or error, or that any fault will be corrected.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law, including under Italian and EU consumer protection legislation, which applies regardless of what this document says.
8. Limitation of liability
Axmo Data Modelling is a financial modelling tool. Its outputs are calculations, not advice. You are responsible for checking that a model does what you intend, and for any decision you or anyone else takes on the basis of its results. We do not review your models and we cannot see them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and given that Axmo Data Modelling is supplied free of charge, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, goodwill or opportunity, for any loss of or damage to data, models or workbooks, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Your models are files on your own machine, and your own backups are the protection that matters — we hold no copy to restore from.
We are also not liable for failures caused by something outside the add-in: Microsoft Excel, Office.js, your operating system, your network, another add-in, or files that have been edited outside Axmo.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this section limits any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Where we are liable despite the above, our total liability to you for all claims connected with Axmo Data Modelling is limited to the greater of €50 and the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. The add-in is free, so for most users nothing has been paid; the €50 floor exists so that the limit is a figure rather than nothing.
If we ever host your models or your data on our own servers, this section will be revisited before that service is offered, and we will tell you before any change takes effect.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
In summary: your models never leave your machine, there is no account, and the only information the add-in sends us is a technical fault report when something goes wrong — containing no formula, no cell value and no part of your model. What it does and does not contain is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party components
Axmo Data Modelling includes open-source software components, used under their respective
licences. A list of those components and their licence notices is available on request
from start@axmo.it.
11. Ending these terms
You may stop using Axmo Data Modelling at any time by uninstalling it. Your workbooks remain yours and remain openable in Excel, though the modelling layer will no longer be interactive.
We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. We may bring proceedings against a consumer only in the courts of the country where that consumer lives.
